I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! Parker Maple
partnered with Operation Gratitude
, an incredible organization that has sent nearly 2 million care packages overseas to date, this past holiday weekend. We ran a promo that donated 1 maple cotton candy
for every 2 products purchased - and Parker Maple is happy to announce we are sending 255 cotton candies to Operation Gratitude and our troops overseas!
Over our Memorial Day weekend, I whipped together some delicious Maple Lemonade. This recipe is a childhood favorite of Joshua's, but something I wasn't introduced to until recently. The maple replaces the usual cane sugar in such a delightful way. The two really mix well together, giving a unique flavor to the lemonade that doesn't cost you as many calories! ;)
8 lemons (enough to yield 1 cup of lemon juice)
6 cups cold water
1. Using a citrus juicer, juice the lemons to make 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
2. Add the cup of lemon juice to the pitcher. Add 6 cups of cold water to the pitcher and stir.
3. Warm the maple syrup in the microwave which makes it easier to blend into the lemon and water mixture. Add the syrup to the pitcher and stir.
4. Serve in a pretty glass and enjoy! :)
