In 2017, it is now commonplace for EVERYONE to know what they're eating, where it comes from, and what benefits it offers to their wellbeing. I was always conscious of what I was eating, but when I knew I was becoming a mom, everything changed.
With Rhett in mind, I began to dig. What I found was, frankly, frightening. There are so many unnatural and unhealthy practices throughout the food industry that we couldn't even dream of - the number of dyes, preservatives, and chemicals we consume each day is mind boggling.
I began to realize just how lucky we were to know the difference between real & fake maple. This natural marvel, known best in small agricultural towns like the one Joshua grew up in, needs to be shared with the rest of the world so other moms can save their children from the high-fructose-corn-syrup, chemical-filled fake stuff the rest of us are used to!
When choosing what to feed my new family, I choose pesticide free produce; I choose organic chicken; I choose GMO free fruits; and, now I choose real maple.
We have to think about what is best for our families AND what tastes better! I have learned that maple can be used as a healthy alternative for just about everything- including the processed cane sugar you've been using in your favorite cake recipe. The possibilities are endless.
As Joshua and I work on creating a whole line of healthy, maple focused products for you and your family, we think first of what we would want to feed our family with this goal in mind - keeping every one of our products wholesome, natural, and real.
